CJEU deems FIFA transfer rules anti-competitive by nature

The Court of Justice has hammered yet another nail into the coffin of FIFA’s monopoly on association football through its ruling C-650/22 (FIFA c. BZ) which found that FIFA’s player transfer rules are anti-competitive by nature and limit the free circulation of workers (in this case professional football players) within the EU.
